Black Diamond Mission Pant - Women's

You go where the snow is deep and stable, so that means you need a pair of pants that will withstand everything from tram runs to yo-yo laps in the backcountry. The Black Diamond Women's Mission Pants will give you the waterproof, breathable protection you need to milk the most vert from your day thanks to a three-layer Gore-Tex shell, fully taped seams, and a DWR treated face fabric that resists moisture and wear from hot laps in bounds to bushwhacks in the backcountry. The fit is designed for technical layering, while a soft, brushed backer keeps them soft and smooth against your baselayers and helps to eliminate the swoosh from your step whether you're gliding up the skintrack or hoofing it up the bootpack. Offset outer thigh vents offer a good amount of ventilation when you are on the move, and a single lower leg zip can be opened up for easy access to boot buckles. Internal boot gaiters form a snow-tight seal around boots, while a reinforced kick patch protects the pants against ski edges and crampon points. Unique to the Mission Pants is a dedicated beacon pocket with a protective Poron XRD impact foam to protect your transceiver, as well as an internal harness that keeps the beacon close when conducting a search. For added safety inbounds, the Missions are equipped with a built-in Recco reflector that may help Recco-equipped ski patrols locate you in the event of an emergency.

October's Animal
Most commonly found in the tundra of Rocky Mountain National Park, the pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
