The Brooks Women's PureGrit 5 Trail Running Shoe provides comfort and support whether you're gaining elevation up to two thousand feet or enjoying the trials and tribulations on hardpack desert trails. The PureGrit 5 sports a newly redesigned upper that emphasizes breathability, while the neutral support caters to runners with medium to high arches. In keeping with the original design, the PureGrit boasts a best-foot-forward construction with its rounded heel and 4mm drop to achieve a more natural, comfortable stride. The BioMoGo DNA midsole provides lightweight and adaptive cushioning on rugged, bumpy, and uneven surfaces. Additionally, the PureGrit has a sticky, flexible sole inspired by climbing-shoe rubber, 3D Hex lugs for grip, and Omega Flex Grooves for smoother transitions onto the ball of your foot. Brooks also included a Nav Band on the upper to keep your forefoot from slipping around in the shoe.

The North Cascades have long been known as the North American Alps. Characterized by rugged beauty, this steep mountain range is filled with jagged peaks, deep valleys, cascading waterfalls and glaciers. North Cascades National Park Service Complex contains the heart of this mountainous region in three park units which are all managed as one and include North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake and Lake Chelan National Recreation Areas.
Badgers are animals of open country. Their oval burrows (ten inches across and four to six inches high) are familiar features of grasslands on sandy or loamy soils of the eastern plains or shrub country in mountain parks or western valleys.
