You might be tracking elk herds, surveying raptor populations, documenting native plants, or backpacking in a remote mountain range, but you'll be prepared for whaevert lies ahead when you're wearing the Danner Men's Mt. Adams Hiking Boots. Made in America, the Mt. Adams features a full-grain leather upper that wears well over time and is accented by an equally durable nylon tongue for comfort and flexibility during those high-mileage days in the mountains. For additional protection, Danner added a protective rubber toe cap to protect the leather from scuffs and scrapes when you're hiking rocky trails or bushwhacking through sections of downed timber. A PU midsole keeps the Mt. Adams stiff and supportive, while a nylon shank bolsters support and durability. Danner put a sturdy Vibram sole at the base of the boot to ensure long-lasting performance when you're wearing your boots day in and day out, or counting on them to carry you through a week-long backpacking trip.

The North Cascades have long been known as the North American Alps. Characterized by rugged beauty, this steep mountain range is filled with jagged peaks, deep valleys, cascading waterfalls and glaciers. North Cascades National Park Service Complex contains the heart of this mountainous region in three park units which are all managed as one and include North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake and Lake Chelan National Recreation Areas.
Badgers are animals of open country. Their oval burrows (ten inches across and four to six inches high) are familiar features of grasslands on sandy or loamy soils of the eastern plains or shrub country in mountain parks or western valleys.
