Exped Tarp

If you want to travel light and skip the tent, pack up Exped's Tarp. When you set it up flat, it can fit up to four people comfortably and six people snugly, or you can set it up A-frame style for more protection with fewer people. Exped made the Tarp from tough 40D nylon, which has been coated with waterproof PU and finished with taped seams for full protection, and decked it out with enough guy-out points to let you set it up just about any way you can imagine. There are eight pegs and four guylines included, too, so you can tinker to your heart's content and find the setup that's perfect for you.

October's Animal
Most commonly found in the tundra of Rocky Mountain National Park, the pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
