Product Description
Roc Summit 45L Backpack by Haglofs
With a rough and tumble design designed to withstand harsh alpine environments, Haglofs' Roc Summit 45 Backpack was born for mountaineering missions. Water resistant 420-denier nylon fabrics and a 600D polyester base give the pack a bombproof construction, while the Interact suspension system helps to keep the pack comfortable, even when weighed down with heavy alpine gear. Haglofs gave the Roc Summit a convenient 1-Motion opening system, which allows the pack to be opened and closed with gloves on, and it added a large front pocket for a shovel and probe. Increasing the overall versatility of the pack is the addition of a removable top lid, waist belt, and front elastic cord for more technical alpine routes. A rope strap under the top lid gives you a secure place to stash your skinny alpine cord, and two ice axe loops with pick protectors keep your ice tools secure during the approach.

November's Featured Park
The North Cascades have long been known as the North American Alps. Characterized by rugged beauty, this steep mountain range is filled with jagged peaks, deep valleys, cascading waterfalls and glaciers. North Cascades National Park Service Complex contains the heart of this mountainous region in three park units which are all managed as one and include North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake and Lake Chelan National Recreation Areas.
November's Animal
Badgers are animals of open country. Their oval burrows (ten inches across and four to six inches high) are familiar features of grasslands on sandy or loamy soils of the eastern plains or shrub country in mountain parks or western valleys.
