Product Description
Ghost MIPS Helmet by Louis Garneau
If you're busy winterizing your plus-sized enduro dinosaur for the colder months, you might want to snag the Louis Garneau Ghost MIPS Helmet to go along with your three-inch donuts and cold-weather kit. As you barrel over snowy, slushy singletrack, the Ghost MIPS will protect your grey matter and keep your ears and head warm in the cold. The winter-specific helmet doesn't look all that different from a ski helmet, and that's purposeful. Fuzzy ear warmers are just as useful when you're generating your own wind on two wheels as they are when you're cruising through the trees on skis, and on the Ghost, they're removable for warmer days. Garneau uses a classic In-Mold construction construct the Ghost's shell, carving ten separate vents into it so you don't overheat. While the shell protects against major impacts, MIPS acts as a subtler defense against potentially damaging side impacts. The Swedish technology appears in the form of a thin inner basket that moves independently from the rest of the shell, moving on impact to absorb brain-damaging rotational forces created by certain crashes. Garneau's Spiderlock Creo retention system ensures the helmet fits closely and securely while you ride, operating via a dial system that's easy to use on-the-go.
