Product Description
Trekker Backpacking Boot - Men's by Lowa
Ridges riddled with rocks, trails covered with downed trees, and washed out steeps are easy obstacles for the Lowa Men's Trekker Backpacking Boot. The nubuck leather upper has a close-to-the-foot feel to reduce that loose, sloppy feel when navigating steep sections of trail where solid footing is limited. Lowa's C4 tongue is made with fifteen different pieces to give it a more natural, forward-flexing feel with each step, while the addition of nylon shanks in the heel and forefoot add to the boot's overall stability. For the sole, Lowa went with a Vibram Tactis DST rubber with a tread pattern that will bite on everything from packed-out trails below treeline to loose scree in the high mountains.

November's Featured Park
The North Cascades have long been known as the North American Alps. Characterized by rugged beauty, this steep mountain range is filled with jagged peaks, deep valleys, cascading waterfalls and glaciers. North Cascades National Park Service Complex contains the heart of this mountainous region in three park units which are all managed as one and include North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake and Lake Chelan National Recreation Areas.
November's Animal
Badgers are animals of open country. Their oval burrows (ten inches across and four to six inches high) are familiar features of grasslands on sandy or loamy soils of the eastern plains or shrub country in mountain parks or western valleys.
