Product Description
Apex 80L Backpack by Mountainsmith
Pack a week's worth of camping gear into Mountainsmith's Apex 80 Backpack for a much-needed reprieve from city life. Its suspension system features a well-ventilated Anvil Airway back panel made of cushy EVA, a supportive PE framesheet, sturdy aluminum stays, padded shoulder straps with adjustments, and a form-fitting TuningFork waistband for comfort on the approach. The Apex is a traditional top loader with a detachable SlingShot lid that doubles as a daypack. There's an internal sleeve and port designed for hydration reservoirs, as well as a zippered bottom compartment for sleeping pads. Mountainsmith designed the waistbelt's pocket for smartphones as large as the Galaxy S6. The Apex also has a front mesh stash pocket for layers, and a side pocket for water bottles.

November's Featured Park
The North Cascades have long been known as the North American Alps. Characterized by rugged beauty, this steep mountain range is filled with jagged peaks, deep valleys, cascading waterfalls and glaciers. North Cascades National Park Service Complex contains the heart of this mountainous region in three park units which are all managed as one and include North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake and Lake Chelan National Recreation Areas.
November's Animal
Badgers are animals of open country. Their oval burrows (ten inches across and four to six inches high) are familiar features of grasslands on sandy or loamy soils of the eastern plains or shrub country in mountain parks or western valleys.
