Maintaining control in an ocean kayak is not only desirable, it can mean the difference between you getting caught out in a dangerous situation, or making it back to shore safely. Attach a rudder to your Trident, Tetra, P13, or PBG kayak with the Ocean Kayak Rudder Kit, and maintaining control will be less of a battle. The rudder kit includes all of the parts you need to install the rudder, as well as detailed instructions for the installation (the Ocean Kayak website also offers excellent installation videos). Once the rudder is installed, you'll be able to quickly lower it with a pull cord, and move it side-to-side with easy-to-operate foot pedals to steer. When you're in shallow or calmer water, use the pull cord to raise the rudder back up and out of the water.

The North Cascades have long been known as the North American Alps. Characterized by rugged beauty, this steep mountain range is filled with jagged peaks, deep valleys, cascading waterfalls and glaciers. North Cascades National Park Service Complex contains the heart of this mountainous region in three park units which are all managed as one and include North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake and Lake Chelan National Recreation Areas.
Badgers are animals of open country. Their oval burrows (ten inches across and four to six inches high) are familiar features of grasslands on sandy or loamy soils of the eastern plains or shrub country in mountain parks or western valleys.
