Pearl Izumi ELITE Softshell 180 Women's Jacket

Riding outside in winter can help you maintain form while others go stir-crazy sitting inside, watching reruns, and snacking on comfort food. However, depending on your local climate, it can be very, very cold. Fortunately, the Pearl Izumi Women's Elite Softshell 180 Jacket is here to insulate your upper body from winter's icy grip. As its name implies, the 180 Jacket has two distinct sides that work together to keep you riding longer without shivering. One side protects you from oncoming wind and precipitation, while the other insulates your upper body from sub-freezing temperatures. The jacket's front consists of Elite Soft Shell fabric, which provides wind and water-resistance for riding into bone-chilling gusts and oncoming snow showers. The backside is made of Elite Thermal Fleece for extra warmth when temperatures drops below freezing. Elite Thermal Fleece also breathes well, preventing cold, clammy discomfort from sweating in sub-freezing temperatures. Plus, the shoulders have extra stretch for freedom of movement when you're dropped over the bars. The jacket's full-length zipper features a draft flap that effectively seals out cold outside air and precipitation. One zippered back pocket is great for holding energy gels and small accessories within easy reach. Additionally, you'll find reflective elements for boosted visibility when the sun goes down.

October's Animal
Most commonly found in the tundra of Rocky Mountain National Park, the pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
