Pearl Izumi ELITE Thermal Tight - Women's

Building a seasonal cycling wardrobe can be a pain in the ass, but kit like the Pearl Izumi Women's Elite Thermal Cycling Tight help ease the transition from summer to winter. The tights' Thermal Fleece material features the same moisture-managing properties as Pearl's summer weight kit, but its brushed inner face creates a lofted layer between the elements and your skin, insulating a microclimate that keeps you warm as you tick off the miles. We find the Elite Thermals ride most comfortably in the 40s and high 30s, but if you're particularly cold-tolerant they may go even lower than that. To ensure a quality fit, the Thermal tights use six-panel construction that allows full leg articulation throughout cycling movements. This design also reduces abrasion that's typically caused by slack and bunched material from poor fit and fabric hold. To help hold everything in place, the tights use a silicone gripper at the ankle and a wide waistband. Pearl also adds 360-degree reflective accents for safer night riding, and it omits the usual bib straps in a move that spares us the imposition of a design clearly meant for men.

October's Featured Park
Arches National Park is known for its' remarkable natural red sandstone arches. With over 2,000 catalogued arches that range in size from a three-foot opening, to Landscape Arch which measures 306 feet from base to base, the park offers the largest concentration of natural arches in the world.
October's Animal
Most commonly found in the tundra of Rocky Mountain National Park, the pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
