2016 marks the 10th birthday of the POC DO Half Blade Limited Edition Sunglasses, and it's an occasion they get to share with their sibling, the Octal Helmet. Made to integrate seamlessly with one another for uncompromising safety on the roads while displaying sleek, minimalist style, the pair comes in a limited edition Unobtanium Yellow colorway this year on the platform of each one's trusted design. The DO Half Blades remain as impossibly light as ever, with their larger-than-average shape able to shield you from the sun as well as road grit and debris. The frame-free lower half of the lens improves peripheral vision compared to the DO Half's full-framed sibling, the DO Blade, and it trims weight as well, making the sunglasses an ideal addition to racing kit. The black lenses included with this version of the DO Half's work best on sunny, clear days when you need to see through glaring light, but POC includes a clear lens for dusk rides and gloomy, overcast days. The interchangeable lens system is easy, and POC makes a range of tints that fall between black and clear on the spectrum for you to choose from. It also coats each lens with a Ripel treatment, which repels grime, fog, and water to spare you from frustrating splotches and recurring foggy patches when you're trying to focus on what's ahead. Soft, hydrophilic rubber at the nose and temples holds the glasses in-place through sweaty attacks and slow climbs, and the lightweight frames integrate perfectly with the Octal Helmet, though they'll work with other models too.
