Rossignol R-Skin Ultra Ski

When you need to escape the doldrums of winter in the city, look no further than your own back yard. After all, there's something extremely profound and therapeutic about gliding through deep, untracked snow on the Rossignol R-Skin Ultra Ski. Built for those long, on-trail touring days, the R-Skin Ultra is a reliable, stable ski for all levels of cross-country skiers. The R-Skin features narrower dimensions than your average cross-country touring ski and it's equipped with a taller, race-inspired camber that's designed to offer a more traditional, yet still equally as powerful, glide and follow-through. However, in order to maintain a lightweight feel, the folks over at Rossignol built the R-Skin with an Activ'Cap construction for durability and a more traditional, touring feel, while the Premium Low Density Core and mixed Honeycomb technology ensure the ski stays lightweight and lively underfoot. Additionally, the longer length is designed to provide more glide in front of and behind the mounting zone (which, the R-Skin ultra is NIS compatible, as well). Not to mention, the mohair kick zone is easily replaceable when it's tired and worn out.

October's Animal
Most commonly found in the tundra of Rocky Mountain National Park, the pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
