Product Description
Avast Rain Cycling Shoe - Men's by Sidi
Rolling out under looming clouds and precipitous weather forecasts usually means battening down the mental hatches and resigning yourself to hours of soggy socks and sloshy shoes, even if you've got the rest of the rain kit dialed in. Sidi steps in to save your toes from a pruny fate with its Men's Avast Rain Cycling Shoe. Made with a durable Politex upper and a water- and windproof Rain-Tex membrane, this shoe fends off the elements to keep toes happy and dry over the miles. The Avast Rain incorporates a traditional ratcheting buckle at the top and hook-and-loop straps across the mid- and forefoot for a customized, comfortable fit that's easily adjustable on the fly. Sidi adds an extended ankle cuff with a hook-and-loop closure for extra protection from errant precipitation. The outsole is a nylon matrix shot through with carbon fiber, blending weight, stiffness, and price in a sole that's responsive enough for intervals or long training miles. It also resists warping caused by humidity, heat, and age, so you'll be wearing the Avast Rain long after you've worn out and replaced the bolt-on heel pad. If you've ever lost a buckle to a crash, then you'll also be happy to know that the fastening hardware is also replaceable.
