Description: Campground is located in the Dixie National Forest in southern Utah, next to a high mountain fishing lake. Campground is near the Grand-Staircase Escalante National Monument, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Kodachrome Basin State Park. Elevation is 8,000 ft. Good access for cars and trailers. ATV loading dock and 22 miles of trail located adjacent to campground. ATV's must be trailered in and out of campground. Quiet hours are from 10pm-6am. Pets must be leashed. Occupy site within 24 hours or forfeit. Some sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. 17 family sites and 4 group sites available for reservation. The reservation charge includes 1 vehicle; a fee for additional vehicles will be collected at the campground. Golden Passports apply only to first vehicle.

Description: Campground is located next to a beautiful, small fishing lake in a forest aspen and ponderosa pine. Campground elevation is just under 8000 ft. Access to a hiking trail from campground to lookout on a mountainside. It is close to Bryce Canyon National Park, Kodachrome State Park, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Petrified Forest State Park, and Anasazi State Park. Vehicles over 30 ft. in length are not recommended because of turns. Also hiking access to the Great Western Trail.

Cowpuncher Guard Station Campground

Description: Located about 20 miles north/east of Escalante Utah, this rustic two room, cabin sleeps four people comfortably. A small trout stream runs in front of the cabin. Summer days are warm and nights are cool. Facilities provided include one double bed, one set of bunk beds, couch, propane cook range, wood cook stove, propane refrigerator, hot water heater, lanterns and indoor shower. An outhouse is located just down a trail from the cabin. Bring your own bedding. Some pots and pans and dishes are provided. There is no electricity. Water may not be available. Camping is not allowed at this site. Please do not use tents, motorhomes, or RVs. No saddle, pack or draft animals are allowed. Popular activities include: stream fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and big game hunting. ATV's all allowed to ingress and egress only. Please bring garbage bags. This facility is "Pack it in. Pack it out."

Barker Recreation Area Campground

Description: Barker Recreation Area is located in an aspen-spruce forest above 9,000 feet in elevation. The area offers a campground with 13 individual campsites, a day use area adjacent to Upper Barker Reservoir and the group sites: Old Lady Young (capacity 100), Porter Equestrian (capacity 35), and Gates (capacity 35). Two small fishing lakes permit non-motorized boat access. Seven other back country fishing lakes can be accessed by the many hiking trails in the area, among them the Great Western Trail. Water hookups are not available at any of the sites in the area. Drinking water spigots are available within 100 feet of every campsite.
