Road Trip DetailsHome > Road Trip Details ![]() US-Parks.com Road Trips were created as a guide to help you, the site visitor, plan ideas for your own road trip. Each route has been carefully put together by a US-Parks.com team member. We advise that when you follow the route, you use your own mapping software to confirm road conditions. Road conditions vary depending on the time of the year and we are not aware of when road construction, etc might occur. What is the Color Coding on the Map? Route: This is the main route for the road trip including freeways, towns, etc. Scenic: This section of the road offers more scenic views, scenic roads, etc. Favorite: This section of the road trip has been given the US-Parks stamp of approval. We consider this area to be extraordinary and worth mentioning! What Types of Routes are Created? Our goal is to create trips that range from a few days to a couple weeks through National Parks, Monuments and other scenic sites. Road Trip: Brief description of the road trip. Mileage: Approximate miles of the entire trip. This does not include extra mileage for sightseeing or additional parks you may consider seeing during your trip. Main Points of Interest: The primary parks you will see along this park. This does not include parks that might also be along this route that we have not mentioned. Suggested Start and End for this Road Trip: A suggested starting and ending point for this trip. You can alter the trip as it suits your needs. Will the Whole Route be Beautiful? As much as we would like to be able to create a route of non-stop beauty, it isn"t possible. Many parks are far enough apart that you will need to take freeway from time to time, but we still do our best to encourage taking roads that are more scenic. You can view our color coding to see areas we consider special. Everyone has different tastes but we wanted to find a way to share what we particularly enjoyed on a road trip. Will You be Adding More Road Trips? We are constantly striving to add more trips whenever possible. Do You Offer Personalized Road Trips? Although we do not offer personalized road trips, you may contact us with ideas or questions you have regarding a trip or altering one. Please see our Help page for contact information. |
