Details
The campground has 54 sites situated along Fall River just inside the Fall River
Entrance on US Rt. 34, 5 miles west of the town of Estes Park.
Glacier Basin

part or all of the 2009 season.

Details
Located 7 miles west of the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center off of the Bear Lake Rd. Most
sites are in a lodgepole pine forest. Glacier Creek runs near the campground. Good hiking
trails are easily accessed from the campground. . Group camping is also available.
Reservations are recommended for all camp sites. Call 1-800-365-2267 for further
information.
Longs Peak

Details
Nestled near the trailhead to Longs Peak, the campground's 26 sites are for tents only
on a first come/first served basis. During July and August, most campers rise early to hike
the Longs Peak Trail. There is a seven night stay limit during the summer; fourteen nights
during the winter.

Details
Moraine Park Campground is open year 'round. It is located off of the Bear Lake Rd., 2
1/2 miles from the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center. Sites are mostly in a ponderosa pine
forest and look out over Moraine Park, a large meadow area with the Big Thompson River
flowing through. Reservations are recommended. For further information, call, call

Timber Creek

Timber Creek has many dead trees, and tree removal will delay opening and affect
operation. It will be closed through early July.

Details
The campground is open throughout the year. The 98 sites are set on high ground looking
out over the Kawuneeche Valley and the Colorado River. Fishing and hiking are readily
accessible. Moose regularly visit the valley, along with elk and mule deer. During the
summer, the fee is $20 per site per night. During the winter and spring, when no water is
available at the campground, the fee is $14 per night per site.

Chambers Lake Campground

Description: Located approximately 60 miles northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado. Situated in a rustic, mountainous, lodgepole pine forest. Elevation is 9,200 feet. Facilities provided include restrooms, a playground area and a boat ramp. Popular activities include fishing and boating on Chambers Lake.

Green Ridge Campground

Description: Located in north central Colorado, southwest of Grand Lake. Campground is adjacent to Shadow Mountain Reservoir. Loop B is closest to Colorado River. Facilities provided include restrooms and a boat ramp. National Fishing Week, the first week in June, is a popular activity.

Olive Ridge Campground

Description: Located 14 miles south of the main entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park at Estes Park, Colorado. at an elevation of 8,350 feet. Campground is 100 yards South of the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway and one mile south of the of the Wild Basin entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park. The picturesque town of Estes Park provides full services. Playground and amphitheater on site. Campground is in a generally flat, mixed conifer and aspen forest. There is mixed sun and shade.

Arapaho Bay Campground

Description: Located in north central Colorado. Campground is adjacent to Granby Lake. Typical Rocky Mountain afternoon thunderstorm weather pattern. Restroom facilities and payphone are provided. Sites may be available on a first come - first served basis outside the reservation season. 2009 The Arapaho Bay boat ramp will be open throughout the 2009 season. The Boat ramps at Hilltop and Willow Creek Reservoir will be closed for launching motorized and trailered boats from May 15 through Oct 31. Hand powered boats such as canoes, kayaks and row boats will be allowed to launch and retreive at those sites.

Pawnee Campground

Description: Campground is 5 miles west of Ward, Colorado, within the Brainard Lake Recreation Area. It is adjacent to Brainard Lake and the Indian Peak Wilderness Area, at an elevation of 10,350 feet, in a spruce and fir forest. Summer features warm days and cool pleasant nights. Afternoon rain is common. Nederland, 14 miles south, has full services including phone, groceries, restaurants, gas, hardware store, bank and post office. Popular activities include bicycling (outside the wilderness), fishing, backpacking and hiking. There are numerous wilderness trails. Limited rockclimbing and snowskiing opportunities are possible when the weather cooperates. Two trailheads lead into the backcountry and over the Continental Divide. Firewood is for sale in the campground.
