Summer Bird Walks

Saguaro National Park invites you to join experienced birding guide John Higgins on an early morning bird walk. Participants will hopefully encounter many of the twenty five species of birds that are year-round residences of the park. Four bird walks have been scheduled:

Saturday June 4 at 6:00 am Saturday July 9 at 6:00 am Saturday August 13 at 6:30 am Saturday Sept 10 at 7:00 am

Those interested should meet at Saguaro National Park "s Red Hills Visitor Center , located at 2700 North Kinney Road . The group will caravan to several nearby locations. The walking is considered easy, on flat but dirt and rocky trails. Persons of all ages, with or without bird watching experience, are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring water and sun protection, and binoculars and bird guides if you have them. The walk usually lasts two hours.

For additional information, call the Red Hills Visitor Center at (520) 733-5158.
