Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site - Activities![]()
An excellent orientation to the site is the film "Augustus Saint-Gaudens: An American Original" (28 minutes, shown in the visitor center. Walking tours of the site are conducted most afternoons and last about one hour. A junor ranger booklet is available at the entrance station. A child should be able to complete the junior ranger requirements during a one-two hour visit to the park. Sculpture workshops for older children and adults are given most Saturday afternoons throughout the season. Intended for beginners, particpants learn the basics of figurarive sculpture and how to work with clay.
