Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site features the home, studios and gardens of the great American sculptor, Augustus Saint-Gaudens (1848-1907. The site was his summer home from 1885-1897, and permanent residence from 1900 until his death. The only National Park site in New Hampshire, it is one of only two in the National Park System dedicated to a visual artist. Six historic buildings are open to the public and over 100 of Saint-Gaudens" artworks are on exhibit. Visitors can also enjoy the formal gardens, attending summer concerts, exploring over two miles of nature trails and taking sculpture classes given by the sculptor-in-residence. |
