Operating Hours & Seasons

The park is open daily from May 24, 2008 to October 31, 2008. Exhibit buildings are open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the grounds until dusk.

From November through late May the exhibit buildings are closed but the park Visitor Center is open most days Monday - Friday, from 9:00 - 4:15. Park information, brochures and the passport stamp are available there.

For your safety, please be aware that during the winter months, most areas of the park are not maintained for public use. Visitors should take care as many pathways and trails may be snow covered and slippery. Trails are also not regularly patrolled during the off season.

Getting There

Plane
The area is locally serviced by Lebanon Municipal Airport, Lebanon, NH.

Car
From the south: Route I 91 North to Exit 8 (Ascutney). Turn right at end of ramp, proceed through the traffic light and across the Connecticut River. At next light, turn left onto NH Route 12A and go north about 8 miles (10 minutes). Saint-Gaudens Road will be on the right 1.5 miles past the Cornish-Windsor covered bridge. Proceed up Saint-Gaudens Road .5 mile, parking lot will be on your right.

From the north: Route I 91 South to Route I 89 South. Cross the Connecticut River and take first exit, #20 (West Lebanon), Turn right onto NH Route 12A South. Continue about 12 miles, Saint-Gaudens Road will be on the left.

From Route I 89 traveling north – use exit 20 (West Lebanon). At exit turn left onto Route 12A, Saint-Gaudens Road is 12 miles south on the left.

From Route I 89 traveling south - use exit 20 (West Lebanon). At exit turn right onto Route 12A, Saint-Gaudens Road is 12 miles south on the left.

IF DRIVING LARGE RVs, PLEASE NOTE: Visitors with large recreational vehicles, especially those towing automobiles, should call ahead (603-675-2175 x100) for special directions, as parking space is limited and turning around may be difficult.

Public Transportation
There is no public transportation system that serves the park. Amtrak stations are located nearby in Windsor, Vermont (2 miles) and White River Junction, Vermont (13 miles).

Getting Around

Exhibits:

The site contains six buildings that are open to the public; three exhibition galleries with Saint-Gaudens" artwork, a studio for a sculptor-in-residence interpretive program, a stable building with antique carriages, and "Aspet," the 18th century furnished historic house of Augustus Saint-Gaudens.*

*Please note that Aspet will be closed to the public during the 2006 visitor season because of an extensive project to install and upgrade the fire prevention, heating and electrical systems.

Trails:

Two hiking trails; the Ravine Trail, which is approximately .25 miles, and the Blow-Me-Down Trail, approximately 2.5 miles.
