Sitka National Historical Park - Facilities
Russian Bishop"s House Open Mid-May 9 am - 5 pm
Ranger-led tours are offered every 30 minutes.

Closures During the winter season, the house is open by appointment only. Fees are not charged during the winter season.

Exhibits The Russian Bishop"s House is one of the last remaining buildings from the Russian colonial period in North America. The historic structure is registered as a National Historic Landmark. Exhibits on the Russian American Company, Russian history and Orthodoxy are displayed on the lower level. Park rangers lead visitors on a tour of the second floor through the beautifully restored bishop"s residence and chapel. Two historic buildings, the Priests" Quarters and the Old School, are located on site.

Location The Park is located at the south end of Lincoln Street, approximately one- fourth mile from downtown Sitka.
Special Programs Tlingit artists demonstrate their skills in the Southeast Alaska Indian Cultural Center. Ranger-led programs about the nature, history and anthropology of the park are featured during the summer months. The bookstore is open daily from May through September.
Park Trails
Mid-May through September: Daily, 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
October through mid-May: Daily, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
