Steamtown's 18-minute film, 'Steel and Steam,' shows here daily every half-hour, except during Special Events and the Winter Lecture Series.

Steam and diesel locomotives are turned on the turntable periodically during the train operating season.
You can find the following exhibits on the Turntable Plaza: DLandW Railroad coal hopper car; New Haven Trap Rock Company locomotive; Lehigh and New England Railroad caboose; Rutland Railroad flat car; 90-foot working turntable and an historic 1865 roundhouse pit.

Temporary Exhibit, "Women of Iron, Women of Steel: Women in Railroading". Located on Mezzanine level.
A series of 8 panels illustrates the development of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad's Scranton yard from 1851 to the opening of Steamtown National Historic Site. A 'please touch' large-scale model of a Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotive is on display, as is a 'please touch' table for all ages. There are also two display exhibits - one to orient visitors at Steamtown, and the other to highlight Steamtown's connection with attractions in the Lackawanna Heritage Valley.
Restrooms with changing stations, public (pay) telephones, water fountains, stairs and elevator access (located behind the Info Desk) to the mezzanine entrances for the Theater or the Technology Museum.
