Location

From Flagstaff, take U.S. 89 north for 12 miles (19km), turn right on the Sunset Crater - Wupatki Loop Road and continue 2 miles (3km) to the Visitor Center.

Closures

Closed December 25. Note: Arizona is on Mountain Standard Time year round.

Special Programs

Available generally in June, July and August. Programs subject to change; check at the Visitor Center for current program information. Lava Walk: Investigate cinder cones, squeeze-ups, and more! Evening Program: 1-hour campfire talk at Bonito Campground (during season campground is open).
