Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site - Activities![]() The George Washington Carver Museum: Exhibits, interpretive programs, a book sales area and two introductory films on George Washington Carver and Booker T. Washington are available without prior reservations. These films are 30 minutes in length and shown upon request. The "Oaks," Home of Booker T. Washington: Ranger-guided programs are conducted according to daily schedule. Ask for more information at the visitor center/Carver Museum front desk. The tours of the home begin at the Carver Museum. Historic Campus: The campus has been designated as a Historic District. The tour includes buildings that were built by Tuskegee Institute students and designed by Robert R. Taylor, the first African American graduate of MIT. A map of the District is available at the Carver Museum. Movable School Education Program: Curriculum based programs are available for educational groups. Programs are 2 hours long starting a 9:00am to 11:00am. Programs must be scheduled in advance. |
