Operating Hours & Seasons

River use is permitted 24 hours a day, year-round, unless closed due to flooding, ice floes or other hazardous conditions. Public river accesses are closed 10 PM to 5 AM. Most private liveries and campgrounds open mid-April through October. Visitor services are usually provided between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, and on weekends through the fall foliage season in October.
