Barre Falls DamHome > Barre Falls Dam > Barre Falls Dam Description: Barre Falls Dam, in the midst of the Ware River Watershed and Wildlife Management Area, is attractive for canoeing, fishing, hiking, hunting, picnicking, watching wildlife, and winter sports. The project is crossed by the Mid-State Hiking Trail. A picnic shelter in the picnic area at the dam may be reserved by calling the project office. Directions: From Route 2 at Gardner, MA, take Route 68 South to Route 62, West 2 miles to Barre Falls Dam entrance.
