Description:

This 82-acre natural lake boasts the Lake Dennison Recreation Area, offering picnic areas, hunting, hiking, campgrounds and a swimming beach managed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Tent campers, RV'ers and day use visitors make the area a popular summer destination. Winter activities include snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. The North Cascades have long been known as the North American Alps. Badgers are animals of open country. Their oval burrows (ten inches across and four to six inches high) are familiar features of grasslands on sandy or loamy soils of the eastern plains or shrub country in mountain parks or western valleys.
