Bluestem Lake

Description:

Bluestem Lake, NE is a State Recreation Area located just 2.5 miles west of Sprague, Nebraska and about 20 miles southwest of Lincoln, Nebraska. Bluestem Lake is 325 acres in size with 6 miles of shoreline. Bluestem provides boating, picnicking, and primitive camping with over 200 campsites to choose from. There is also a swim beach and playground. A State Park Permit is required for entry.

Directions:

Located 20 miles southwest of Lincoln, northeast and 2 1/2 mile west of Sprague, NE. The dam area is just off west Sprague Road near the junction of southwest 58th Street.

North Cascades National Park Service Complex contains the heart of this mountainous region in three park units which are all managed as one and include North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake and Lake Chelan National Recreation Areas.

Badgers are animals of open country. Their oval burrows (ten inches across and four to six inches high) are familiar features of grasslands on sandy or loamy soils of the eastern plains or shrub country in mountain parks or western valleys.
