Lock And Dam 8 - Allegheny River

Description:

Lock and Dam 8 is one of eight major river facilities located along the scenic river banks of the Allegheny River. Pool 8 is used mostly during the summer recreational boating season, since there are public and private launching facilities along the river. In addition to recreational usage, a moderate amount of sand and gravel is shipped through Pool 8.

Lock and Dam 8 is located at river mile 52.6 near Mosgrove, Pa. in Armstrong County.
