Free tickets are distributed for that day"s visit from the kiosk on the Washington Monument grounds at 15th Street and Jefferson Drive on a first-come first-served basis. Hours for the ticket kiosk are 8:30 AM but tickets run out early. RESTRICTIONS The following items and activities are prohibited within the Washington Monument: Smoking Eating including the bringing in of food items to the monument. Drinking (except water in a CLEAR PLASTIC container) Guns and/or ammunition Knives Aerosol cans or mace Baggage or packages larger than 18” X 16” X 8” Strollers Animals There is NO storage provided by the National Park Service. Please make your own arrangements to store your personal items prior to arriving at the monument.

If you care to reserve a ticket(s) in advance you may do so by going to either visiting the National Park Service ticketing website http://www.reservation.gov or by calling 1.877.444.6777, for group reservations only call 1.877.559.6777. There is a $1.50 fee per order to reserve tickets ahead of time. These tickets may be picked up at the “will call” window of the monument ticket kiosk the day of your tour.
