J. Alden Weir was extremely well loved, mostly because he did everything he could to help other artists. His three little girls, Caro, Dorothy, and Cora, spent many happy summers here with their parents. They fished, rode the family donkeys, played tetherball, and went on outings while their father was busy creating paintings. Weir made over 200 paintings at his farm.

Weir Farm National Historic Site is recruiting Junior Rangers. Come to the Burlingham House Visitor Center and pick up your Junior Ranger Activity Booklet and supplies free of charge. Complete it, hand it in to a ranger to review it, and receive your badge!
