Bailey Cove Campground

Description: Located approximately 16 miles north of Redding, California at the O'Brien exit, then east 1 mile. Bailey Cove has easy freeway access to Interstate 5. The Bailey Cove boat ramp is located adjacent to the campground and a daily $8.00 fee is required for boat ramp use. Restrooms are provided. Located in the O'Brien area on the McCloud arm of the lake. Resorts are nearby with water craft rentals available. The nearest store is 8 miles north. There is abundant wildlife; osprey nests are nearby in easy view. There is an easy 3-mile hiking trail along the shoreline. Lakeshore East Campground is located in the community of Lakehead with easy freeway access, by taking Lakeshore Avenue to the west. The campground is well forested and sits on the edge of the Sacramento Arm of Shasta Lake. The nearest boat launch is at Antlers Boat Ramp about 2 miles away. There is an additional $8.00 fee use of the boat launch. Resorts near by have watercraft rentals and marinas with fuel. The nearest store is 1 mile north. There is abundant wildlife in the area. Nelson Point Campground

Description: Nelson Point is open June 3, 2008 to September 1, 2008 with reservations; and open March 31, 2008 to June 2, 2008, and again September 2, 2008 to September 15, 2008 on a first come first serve walk-in basis. This campground is available for group rental on a reservation basis. Reservations are not allowed for individual family camping during the peak season unless the entire campground is reserved. Nelson Point is located off Salt Creek Road south of Lakehead. The campground is forested and sits on the Sacramento Arm of Shasta Lake. The nearest boat launch is 6 miles away at Antler's and there is a daily $8.00 fee for use. Resorts nearby have watercraft rentals and marinas with fuel. The nearest store is 6 miles away in Lakehead. Wildlife is abundant in the area.

Description: Located on the road into Minersville campground, a short distance from Trinity Lake and a boat ramp. This campground has many large trees, and large campsites. This campground has electric and water hookups in most sites. There are no other names for this campground, however, Trinity Lake is sometimes known as Clair Engle Lake and shows up both ways on maps. There are amphitheater programs offered twice weekly and junior ranger programs offered weekly. Although two vehicles are allowed in a Family Single Capacity site, only one vehicle is included in the price of a Family Single Capacity Site. Although four vehicles are allowed in a Family Double Capacity Site, only two vehicles are included in the price of a Family Double Capacity Site. Description: Antlers Campground is open year round, but reservations are only taken from May 16, 2008 to September 15, 2008. Antlers Campground has easy freeway access off interstate 5 in the community of Lakehead. This campground is on the Sacramento arm of Shasta Lake, and is heavily forested with pine trees and Manzanita. None of the sites have access to the fueling, and a small store. The nearest market and the nearest payphone are less than 1 mile away. Please visit our Website at:www.shastalakecamping.com for further information. Each site has a picnic table (two in double sites), lockers for storing food, fire rings, BBQ grills, and tent pads. Sites at this campground can accommodate both tents and trailers, however there are no electric/water hookups or dump stations for trailers. There are both flush and vault toilets at this campground. There are no showers available. On weekends during the summer there are interpretive programs hosted at the amphitheater between the campground and the boat ramp.
