Follow 299 west for approximately 8 miles to reach the Visitor Center. Closures Christmas, New Years and Thanksgiving Days Exhibits This small visitor center has exhibits on the California Gold Rush, the local Wintu Indians and wildlife. Stop by and take a look at the recently installed system of solar panels (select -more-link below for solar info) to generate electriciy and help reduce the park"s utility bills. Available Facilities A large selection of books and information are available at the Visitor Center, including books on the California Gold Rush, local Native Americans and many children"s books. All permits, including park entrance passes, golden passes, primitive camping permits and wood gathering permits are sold here. |
