Wind Cave National Park Watersheds

The Resource Management staff continues to monitor the water quality of the three streams within the Park. The sediment load in Beaver Creek appears to be improving. The GPS documentation of over 70 known spring sites located within the Park was completed in 2000.

Featured Wildlife
The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
