Yosemite National Park - Stock Campgrounds

Stock camps are located in Wawona, Tuolumne Meadows, and Bridalveil Creek. Reservations are required, the fee is $20 per night. There is no stock camp in Yosemite Valley.

The Wawona Stock Camp has two sites; each can accommodate six people and six head of stock. The Tuolumne Meadows Stock Camp has four sites; each can accommodate six people and six head of stock. The Bridalveil Creek Stock Camp has two sites, each can accommodate six people and six head of stock.

Effective January 1, 1999, stock camp reservations are available up to five months in advance beginning on the 15th of each month through the National Park Reservation Service . Reservations may be made between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Pacific time by calling (800) 436-PARK. The number for international callers is (301) 722-1257. The toll free TTY number is (888) 530-9796. Reservations may also be mailed to: N.P.R.S., P.O. Box 1600 Cumberland, MD 21502. Reservations may be made with MasterCard, Visa, Discover, personal check or money order. You may reserve up to two group camp sites at one time.

A stock camp in Hetch Hetchy has two sites, each can accommodate six people and six head of stock. Stock users may spend one night before and one night following a wilderness trip.

Group Camps

There are seven group sites in Tuolumne Meadows, four group sites at Hodgdon Meadow, two group sites at Bridalveil Creek, and one group site at Wawona. Each site is designed for groups from 13 to 30 people. Group Camps have walk-in tent sites only. Up to five vehicles can be parked near a group site. Reservations are required, the fee is $35 per night.

A small Group Camp is also available at Hetch Hetchy. Sites are available for one night only for groups with Wilderness Permits. Groups may spend one night before and one night following a wilderness trip. Possession of a wilderness permit does not guarantee space in this first-come, first-served group site.

Plans are underway to build a new Group Camp in Yosemite Valley to replace the one destroyed by floods in January 1997.
