Yosemite National Park - Wildlife Viewing![]()
Yosemite National Park is home to a variety of wildlife. In general, the best time to see wildlife during the summer is in the mornings and late afternoons, when it is cooler and quieter. Look in meadows for deer, coyotes, and sometimes bears. Throughout summer days, you might encounter smaller mammals, such as a squirrels, chipmunks, and marmots (in the higher elevations). Note: Spotlighting of wildlife is illegal in Yosemite National Park. Feeding wildlife is also prohibited. |
