Adams National Historical Park For Kids
Many park programs and special events are offered to give kids of all ages an opportunity to "Picture Themselves in the Past" and see themselves in their nation's future. Contact the park for dates and details.
Kids of all ages! See if you have what it takes to help America to preserve and understand the importance of its national treasures. Pick up a Junior Ranger activity booklet at Adams National Historical Park Visitor Center and complete it while on tour or at home. Bring your completed booklet to the Visitor Center to receive your Badge and certificate commissioning you as a Junior Park Ranger.
Maine ocean islands provide the only nesting sites for Atlantic puffins in the United States. Eastern Egg Rock in the midcoast region, Seal Island and Matinicus Rock at the mouth of Penobscot Bay, and Machias Seal Island and Petit Manan Island off the downeast coast provide habitat for more than 4,000 puffins each summer.
