Andersonville National Historic Site Fees

Andersonville National Historic Site has no entrance fee. There are no fees for park interpretive programs or for entrance to the National Prisoner of War Museum. Andersonville National Historic Site does not carry America the Beautiful Passes. You may acquire or purchase any of these passes at any National Park Service site that charges a fee.

Reservations and Special Tours

Organized groups of fifteen people or more requesting interpretive programs especially for their group must make reservations at least two weeks in advance. Please call the park for details.

Special Use Permits

The Special Use Permit authorizes activities that benefit an individual, group or organization, rather than the public at large: and that require written authorization and management control in order to protect park resources and the public interest. Examples include: ceremonies, memorializations, commercial filming and/or photography, or special assemblies, require a special use permit be acquired in advance.

Eastern Egg Rock in the midcoast region, Seal Island and Matinicus Rock at the mouth of Penobscot Bay, and Machias Seal Island and Petit Manan Island off the downeast coast provide habitat for more than 4,000 puffins each summer.
