USGS National Map Viewer The USGS National Map Viewer allows the user to identify and zoom-in on specific locations within Massachusetts, on Cape Cod, and within Cape Cod National Seashore. Layers of information such as highways and roadways, topography, natural and cultural features, etc., can be added to a basic map to customize it for individual needs and interests.
Maine ocean islands provide the only nesting sites for Atlantic puffins in the United States. Eastern Egg Rock in the midcoast region, Seal Island and Matinicus Rock at the mouth of Penobscot Bay, and Machias Seal Island and Petit Manan Island off the downeast coast provide habitat for more than 4,000 puffins each summer.
