There is a lot of fun things to do at Fort Stanwix!

In the Gregg Barracks (Visitor Center) you can:

  • Go through the "Fort Trunk"

  • Sign your enlistment oath with a quill pen and declare your allegiance to the Crown or to Independence

  • Build your own wooden fort

  • See a model of the fort

  • Shop at our bookstore/gift shop

In the Artisan Area

  • Become an 18th century artisan and make something with your own hands

Featured Wildlife
The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
