Our nation honors her sons and daughters who answered the call to defend a country they never knew and a people they never met.


The Korean War Veterans Memorial is located southeast of the nearby Lincoln Memorial, near the intersection of Daniel French Drive and Independence Ave SW.

VIA METRO: From Foggy Bottom, walk south on 23rd street toward the Lincoln Memorial. Continue across the plaza in front of the Lincoln Memorial; the Korean War Veterans Memorial is on the left.

VIA CAR: Parking near the memorial is extremely limited. Several handicap spaces are available on Daniel Chester French Drive. Street parking is available on Ohio Drive SW.

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
