Carver Museum Closed for Renovation -- The Oaks Open for Tours Starting August 1, 2012, the Carver Museum will be closed for renovation until Summer 2013. Oaks tours are available Monday-Saturday 9:00, 10:30, 1:00, 2:30, and 4:00 CST. Due to the sequester, effective March 10, 2013 the park is closed on Sundays. Operating Hours & Seasons Operating Hours & Seasons The park is open Monday-Saturday, 9:00am to 4:30pm. It is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. The George Washington Carver Museum is currently closed for renovation until Summer 2013.

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
