40 years ago, Assos set a new standard for on-track speed with the introduction of the world's first aero skinsuit, and the Swiss brand continues to lead the way in wind-cheating clothing development with its Men's CS. speedfireChronosuit_s7. Most notably seen slicing to time trial gold with Cancellara in 2016, the Speedfire represents the pinnacle of Assos design with an aggressive fit and aerodynamic fabrics purpose built to eek seconds out of thin air. The top half of the Speedfire is fashioned out of highly compressive 3D jacquard lycra with a textured surface designed to disrupt air for smoother laminar flow. This texturing mimics the dimples found across the industry, but does so in a much more aesthetically pleasing manner under a uniquely Assos monogram print that gives a nod to the company's heritage. The cut of the upper further enhances aerodynamics with an aggressiveness that all but forces its wearer into a tucked TT position. Standing in the suit is an exercise in discomfort with a short zipper and forward-pulling arms. The fit is so aggressive that many of us are only inclined to zip-up once we're situated on the bike. Once on the Speedfire is on and you're folded into a TT position, the discomfort disappears to reveal a perfectly smooth, second-skin surface with no bunches or folds to catch in the air. The other half of the equation is the Speedfire's Campionissimo lower. It mirrors the compressive fabrics of Assos' top-tier bib shorts, but trades out the kuku penthouse chamois for the more time trial appropriate Mille chamois. The Mille's extended frontal padding area provides much appreciated support when cranking out long miles in an aggressively forward position, while also minimizing bulk in the areas it isn't needed. Compared to the Campionissimo shorts, the Speedfire's bottom also edits the leg bands with interior silicone printing and a raw cut, seam-free edging that allows air to pass smoothly by.

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
