The Black Diamond Speed 50 Backpack has plenty of space for all your gear whether you're backpacking over the weekend or climbing ice or rock for the day. Its removable hipbelt moves with your hips, so you can hike without any restrictions, and the active suspension system allows freedom of movement that you'll appreciate when you're finagling your way up vertical ascents. Black Diamond added a thermo-formed back panel for a comfortable fit and feel, and integrated a removable framesheet that doubles as a bivy pad when you're forced to spend an unexpected night high on the mountain. The Speed has a cinching skirt beneath the removable lid to seal out snow and rain, and it can be extended to adequately fit all of your climbing gear with ease. The 210D fabric is very durable and light, and Black Diamond welded 420D abrasion overlays in critical areas so it doesn't tear up against the mountain's rocky ridges. One front and two stretch side sleeves provide room for a rain jacket or a couple of water bottles, and you also get two PickPockets and removable crampon straps to secure your ice climbing and mountaineering essentials.

Rising above a scene rich with extraordinary wildlife, pristine lakes, and alpine terrain, the Teton Range stands monument to the people who fought to protect it. These are mountains of the imagination. Mountains that led to the creation of Grand Teton National Park where you can explore over two hundred miles of trails, float the Snake River or enjoy the serenity of this remarkable place.
The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
