Blackburn's Local Ride Kit preemptively provides Riding Essentials to address the everyday cycling problems we never think about until we're in the midst of dealing with them. Loose headsets, screw-on light clamps, rattling water bottle cages, and -- of course -- flat tires are all things that sneak up on us mid-ride, but things that we don't often prepare for. Fortunately, Blackburn is here to pack our bags for us. The star of the kit may be the Heist 6 Multi Tool, which features chrome vanadium finishing for durability. Its bits are a reasonable length -- not what you've got in your home shop for installing cranksets, but long enough to reach most bolts and bits on your bike. The kit also includes Blackburn's versatile Mountain Air Mini Pump. The pump's Anyvalve head works without adjustment or alteration on both Schrader and Presta valves, so it's guaranteed to work regardless if your ride is on a skinny-tire Saturday or a fat bike Tuesday. The kit is rounded off with a pair of rim-friendly tire levers. The Local Medium Seat Bag itself offers a generous 1 liter (61 cubic inches) of storage space, so there's plenty of room left over for spare tubes, a patch kit, or CO2 if you're not inclined to use the hand pump to repair a flat tire during an icy commute. It's also water resistant, has a loop to easily attach a rear light, and incorporates reflective piping to help keep you visible even without that light.

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
