Campagnolo never ceases to amaze us with its ability to add yet another gear to the rear cluster, allowing us to run a wider range cassette with minimal teeth jumps between the cogs, and forcing the rest of the industry to take notice and catch up. With the introduction of Super Record and Record 12 speed in a mechanical format, it necessitated an all-new chain and the Super Record 12 Chain sits at a very svelte 5. 15mm, working with the thin spacing between the sprockets. This was achieved with new pins that now sit completely flush with the outer links' surface, while still using its Ultra-link pin system to install the chain. Of course, this is your only real chain option for the new Campy 12-speed at the moment, however it would be our choice even if there were other options on the market as Campy chains in the past have provided exceptional silence compared to other options we have substituted in. Its minimal width prevents interference between the tightly spaced sprockets and chainrings, so its quieter and quicker-shifting. The re-shaped pins and outer links further contribute to its quick shifting, and combined with the hollow pins, the chain weighs in at an unheard of 220g. Campy further treats the chain with a special lubricant that ensures its smoothness, precise shifting, and long life. The new chain is indeed lighter and thinner than the 11-speed model, but Campy claims that it's just as durable and lasts just as long as the previous version, something that is reassuring when slamming it into your big ring and launching an attack on a climb. Please note that the Super Record 12 Chain requires the use of a Campagnolo UT-CN300 chain tool for installation. Yes, this tool is pricey, but the narrowness of the chain and Ultra-link system necessitates precise installation.

Maine ocean islands provide the only nesting sites for Atlantic puffins in the United States. Eastern Egg Rock in the midcoast region, Seal Island and Matinicus Rock at the mouth of Penobscot Bay, and Machias Seal Island and Petit Manan Island off the downeast coast provide habitat for more than 4,000 puffins each summer.
