eeWings Crank Arms - Tie Dye Edition by Cane Creek
Carbon fiber has a time and a place, but for those of us who put particularly heavy levels of abuse on our bikes, chances are that place isn't the crankset. Cranks tend to see high level of abuse, between the torque we put down when we power through technical climbs, and the blunt-force-trauma they receive from impacts against rocks and roots. Carbon, while light and undeniably stiff, can crack and splinter from impacts, which has us wondering if it really is the best material for a crank. Fortunately Cane Creek has those of us skeptics covered with stunning craftsmanship of the eeWing Crank Arms, now available with an eye-catching Tie Dye limited edition colorway, just in case the stunning cranks weren't eye catching enough on their own. The eeWings cranks are another collaboration between Cane Creek and Craig Edwards of eeBrakes fame. He originally designed a similar titanium crank, dubbed Sweet Wings, way back in 1994 and at the time they were the lightest and stiffest cranks available. In fact, much of its designs and features were 10-15 years ahead of its time and help influence crank designs to this day. Cane Creek originally wanted to bring the eeWings to the road market but realized that the titanium and build would be more apt for cross country, aggressive trail, and enduro mountain bikers. These cranks aren't phased by rock strikes, ankle rub, or flying trail debris and you can have them looking like new again by brushing them up with a green scouring pad. Much like the eeBrakes we also carry from Cane Creek, we're super impressed by its flyweight construction, attention to detail, and absolutely zero compromises. To achieve this, the eeWings arms are constructed of Grade 9 Ti-3AI-2. 5V, while the Hirth joint and chainring interface, spindle, pedal inserts, fastening bolt and washer, preload bolt, and chainring bolts are Grade 5 Ti-6AI-4V Titanium. Another thoughtful and high-quality feature includes the 7075 CNC aluminum bottom bracket preloader, no ...

The pika is a close relative of the rabbits and hares, with two upper incisors on each side of the jaw, one behind the other. Being rock-gray in color, pikas are seldom seen until their shrill, metallic call reveals their presence.
