For added peace of mind on runouts and wandering routes we equip a few of our 'draws with the EDELRID Pure Slider Carabiner. This locking 'biner gives us extra security at a low pre-crux bolt or on traverses greatly minimizing the risk of our rope becoming unclipped during a fall. We simply slide our thumb down the gate to open it and then let go for it to lock automatically offering a single-handed use while leading that might not be as quick as a wire gate but is well worth that extra second when entering a sketchy section.
