Product Description
Fenix 5 by Garmin
Offering a long-awaited refresh to the popular Fenix 3, the Garmin Fenix 5 retains all the popular sport-tracking capabilities of the Fenix 3, but in a sleeker 47-millimeter case with easier swapping of wrist straps. Instead of messing with tools to change out the strap, the Fenix 5 now offers the ability to swap QuickFit bands with a simple click. This allows you to seamlessly transfer from the workday routine to afternoon workout without messing with screws, especially when you're in your office or vehicle. Battery life is significantly better than the previous version, with the watch's rechargeable battery lasting up to 24 hours in GPS mode and 60 hours in UltraTrac mode. Display resolution gets a bump up as well, which is much welcomed for viewing all your exercise stats, daily metrics, and smartphone updates in bright outdoor environments. Another improved feature, the built-in gyroscope is handy for ultrarunners seeking improved positional accuracy and boosted battery life while racing and training across long distances. Besides these upgrades, the Fenix 5 retains many of the same features as the Fenix 3, which is a good thing if you're seeking one of the most comprehensive sport and navigation watches on the market. Wrist-based heart rate monitoring means you won't have to wear a pesky chest strap to monitor your performance, unless you absolutely want to, in which case it communicates via ANT+ (with compatible Garmin heart rate monitors) to receive all your workout stats. Advanced Performance Metrics deliver both aerobic and anaerobic benefits from grueling workouts, so you can see how it's paying off in the long run and compare yourself to peers of your own age. There's a heap of Advanced Running Dynamics suited for the most dedicated runners seeking data like lactate threshold, cadence, and stride length. To accommodate your multi-sport lifestyle, the Fenix 5 comes with preloaded outdoor profiles for hiking, climbing, cycling, mountain biking, indoor...
